About the Head Coach and Founder:

While competing as a collegiate athlete, Jonathan developed a deep fascination with the science and psychology of coaching, particularly for runners. After earning his BA in Psychology and Sociology and a Master’s in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University, he joined a Boston-based professional running team. However, chronic injuries eventually sidelined his competitive career, inspiring him to shift his focus to coaching. He began working with his friend and former teammate Molly Seidel, helping her achieve remarkable milestones, including qualifying for the U.S. Olympic Team in her marathon debut and winning a Bronze Medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Following this success, Jonathan founded Verde Track Club, bringing together a team of coaches and athletes who share his commitment to a balanced, scientifically backed approach to training and racing. The club emphasizes consistency and enjoyment in training, which has led to impressive achievements, from Olympic medals and Boston Qualifiers to first 5Ks and countless personal records.

Jonathan's coaching philosophy - a combination of holistic and scientific approaches towards training and racing - has enabled amateur and professional athletes alike to meet with success. Verde Track Club is the natural progression to bring together an international team of athletes of all abilities. Jon is excited to guide each athlete to establish and reach their desired goals and full send their training!
